In one of the excerpts, Paulo Gustavo and her husband appear and tell Déa Lucia, who has gathered with the rest of the family, that they would have babies Romeu and Gael, conceived in the United States, through surrogacy, as they had already revealed.
“Many gay couples who saw themselves as marginalized felt they couldn’t have that option because only the straight couple could if they also felt identified. […] I lived the biggest dream of my life, which I was able to fulfill with Paulo, who took care of this with me,” said the doctor.

According to their own statements, this would not have been the first attempt. In the same way, before the arrival of Romeu and Gael, they tried to have more children, but the mother could not complete the pregnancy.
“This time we waited 6 months to say it. We only told the public when he was born. We learned from the first experience that sharing is cool, lots of people join, good things come out, but it’s very hard for us,” revealed Thales Bretas.
