BREAKING NEWS: Caddy receives CPR after collapsing on the course at the famous Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament starring Aaron Rodgers, Gareth Bale and Bill Murray… which had to stop play to allow an ambulance onto the fairway
A caddy at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am received CPR after collapsing on the 11th fairway Friday afternoon.
The tournament, which will be broadcast live on CBS and will feature big names such as Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Gareth Bale, was temporarily halted when an ambulance arrived on the pitch to tend the ailing man.
Paolo Uggetti, a golf writer for ESPN, reported that the man who acted as caddy for an amateur at the tournament was still receiving CPR when he was taken to an ambulance on the 11th hole.
A few minutes later, amateur Lukas Nelson — a vocalist for rock band Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real — told the same reporter that the collapsed Caddy was “doing better.”
The incident was later confirmed by the PGA Tour in a statement detailing that the man – who was not named for privacy reasons – was transferred to Montage Health in Monterey for an evaluation.

Play at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was suspended while an ambulance attended to the man
It added: “As directed by the PGA Tour Rules Committee, players in this group have suspended play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their rounds shortly. We will provide further details as they become available.’
The group, in which the caddy carried racquets, consisted of four players – two amateurs and two professionals – and they were a little over halfway through their round.
It appears that the group consisted of Nelson and Geoff Couch as amateurs while Max McGreevy and Beau Hossler were the pros.
McGreevy told ESPN that the caddy “collapsed in the middle of the fairway and they tried to get his bag off him quickly so they could attempt a resuscitation.”
Shortly after, it was reported that the group was allowed to take a break from their round and have since returned to the clubhouse to regroup. It’s unclear if they will return to the course to complete their second lap.
The Pebble Beach tournament features a host of top professionals and famous amateurs, including comedian Bill Murray, football coach Ron Rivera and actor Will Arnett, all present at the California course.
