Pedro Pascal said he was “a little drunk” when he accepted the SAG Award for “The Last of Us.”

(CNN) – Pedro Pascal isn't the type to give an acceptance speech at a Status Quo awards show, and we couldn't be happier about it.

When he won Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for HBO's “The Last of Us” at the SAG Awards this Saturday, he revealed to the audience that he was a little drunk.

“This is wrong for several reasons. I am a little bit drunk. “I thought I might get drunk,” he stammered, then expressed his gratitude by cheerfully shouting, “Thank you very much for that!”

Pascal made sure to thank his family and HBO executives, joking that he was glad they gave him a job because “I have no skills, I have no other interests.” (HBO and CNN have the same parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.)

He also joked that he couldn't remember any of the names of his fellow nominees, which included “Succession” star Keiran Culkin, with whom he had a hilarious fake fight this awards season.

“I'm going to have a panic attack and leave,” Pascal said with a smile at the end of his speech as he left the stage with his statuette.

Backstage with Netflix SAG correspondent Tan France, Pascal admitted that he really wasn't sure how he felt about how his speech went.

“I don’t remember what I said, I was just very surprised,” he said.

Pascal has made memorable appearances on stage throughout awards season, but none were more memorable than with fellow nominee Culkin, with whom he exchanged witty banter during this year's Emmys and Golden Globes.

The two are actually friends in real life, Pascal told France, and have known each other for years.

“It was great to see him on this show,” Pascal said of Culkin’s role in “Succession.”
