Hundreds of Carey Price fans and Canadiens supporters descended on Saturday morning at the Videotron Center where the goaltender will sign autographs as part of a promotion organized by the Tournoi Pee-Wee.

Some of them, including many children, had been queuing since 8am this morning when the autograph session was due to start around 1.15pm.

This was notably the case of Hélène Leblanc, who arrived from the south coast of Quebec early on Saturday morning. “I only slept four hours last night! I really didn’t want to miss out on that,” launched the fan, wearing a blue hoodie emblazoned with the Canadiens logo.

“He’s been with the team for so many years. He’s been there since I started following hockey. For me it’s a real one. We don’t choose the team that picks us up, but he chose to stay with the Canadians all these years. For me it’s made a Quebecer. »

Around 250 people can get an autograph of the number 31 this afternoon. At noon, the organizers of the pee-wee tournament announced that they would no longer be accepting anyone in line. But some fans chimed in, hoping Price would stick around a little longer.
