The inspirational journey of the brave Ukrainian team from the Tournoi Pee-Wee de Québec came to an end on Friday morning at the Videotron Centre.

The selection of the country’s best players, some of whom still live there despite the war, put in another great performance in front of the hundreds of spectators who weathered the storm to support them.
But under the motto “Let’s go Ukraine!” Starting a few times from the stands, coach Evgheniy Pysarenko’s team lost 2-1 to the Vermont Flames.
That first defeat in three games spelled the end of his tournament, which had started last Saturday with a spectacular and emotional comeback in front of 18,000 spectators.
