Legendary Brazilian star Maria da Graça Xuxa Meneghel, known simply as Xuxa, has decided to break the silence and reveal all the details of her life in a documentary that promises to captivate her followers.
This Thursday, July 13, the Globloplay platform will premiere “Xuxa, the Documentary”, a biographical production much awaited in Brazil and much of Latin America because of the impact this child presenter made in the 1980s and 1990s had.
“She was already considered a sex symbol and was actually a virgin. I didn’t feel comfortable in this position. Besides, I didn’t know myself. It’s not easy to look sexy in photos when you don’t know what that means. I wanted to lose my virginity immediately. It was weird, it wasn’t great. It happened in my car, a very difficult situation. Then I met Pelé and all my discoveries were with him,” he confessed.
The 60-year-old artist also revealed that when she first started getting intimate with Pelé, he was surprised to find that Xuxa had had no sexual experience whatsoever. “I couldn’t believe I hadn’t done this or that. And really, it was my first sexual relationship with him because it was the first time I had sex with a man the way he was supposed to be.‘ he recalled.
Not everything was rosy in the relationship between Xuxa and Pelé. The Brazilian revealed there was a dark side as the soccer player had already dated other women while they were still together and didn’t have an “open relationship”.

“So he invented that we had a “colorful friendship,” and I, at 17, echoed it. He said women used to flirt with him, but as soon as he had sex, he thought of me.he commented.
“I had to accept the betrayal without wanting it. It wasn’t an open relationship. I didn’t have the right to do anything, but he could because he was Pelé. And since he was my first husband, I couldn’t compare him to anyone else to realize that wasn’t healthy.‘ added the Brazilian star.

“It happened during a photo shoot for a magazine cover. There were four models: Luiza, Marcia Brito, me and supposedly a black woman but he didn’t want it. At that time, Miss Brazil was chosen, who came from Brasilia. In the photo I came out across from him. He invited me to dinner, I told him I couldn’t because I lived far away and I was underage. Then he called my house and my dad hung up thinking it was a joke but in the end he accepted,” Xuxa revealed.
Although the relationship lasted six years, both were only portrayed as friends and criticized because of the age difference. Xuxa was referred to as a “glory seeker”. In her new documentary, Xuxa tries to debunk stereotypes and uncover the truth behind her life and relationships.
Xuxa, The Documentary promises to be a journey through the life of this Brazilian legend, giving audiences the unique perspective of a woman who left an indelible mark on the Brazilian entertainment world.
