Perfect love: Marcelino feels shame as he bids farewell to fraternity TV

In Perfect Love, Marcelino (Levi Asaf) will leave the Brotherhood in tatters. Adopted by Gilda (Mariana Ximenes), the boy’s sadness will move everyone, he even seems to anticipate what is to come. In his ‘new mother’s’ mansion, the boy will have no more freedom, he will be punished for running away to visit the priests and end up getting seriously ill in Globo’s six o’clock soap opera.

Marcelino explained to the judge at the first hearing why he didn’t want to be adopted by Gilda, which goes beyond the fact that he was afraid of her. The boy said he did not suffer from a lack of affection in the Brotherhood, quite the contrary. There he grew up as the son and grandson of all priests. He even convinced the judge and got away with it.

However, the villain appealed the first decision in court and was awarded custody of the child. It is with great sadness that Marcelino will say goodbye to the Brotherhood. Eventually, for him and for all religious, it will be as if the brothers and priests were losing a child.

“Now let’s go, Marcelino. It’s time, my son,” says Father Donato (Bernardo Berro), holding back his tears. “I’ll take my Saci to sleep with me every night,” the boy replies, also fighting back tears. He then bids everyone goodbye one by one, receiving advice, warnings, and hugs.

“I wanted to hear a lot more stories from Africa, Grandpa Macubal!” the boy complains in front of Dom Vitório (Antônio Pitanga). “I will save many stories for your return. Because you will choose!” says the priest. The most painful goodbye will be with Donato: Marcelino will hardly be able to speak when it comes to saying goodbye to his great friend.

“You don’t have to say anything, son,” Donato will reply. “I’ll be waiting for you to come back to us too, see? Go with God!” says the priest. “It is our time, my son. Shall we go?” warns Severo (Babu Santana), who is also suffering greatly.

Marcelino will then wave and accompany Severo, Marê (Camila Queiroz) and Orlando (Diogo Almeida) to take them to Gilda. As soon as he leaves, all the priests start crying. “How am I supposed to live without my boy?” Donato asks through tears.

“We will live from our memories, Brother Donato. Do you remember when Brother João found a small bundle on our doorstep?” Brother Tomé (Tony Tornado) will remember. After that, it will be like a movie playing in front of them and various moments with Marcelino will be remembered.

“The best part of our lives is over. We’ll never be that happy again,” Donato will say, very shaken. “Well, don’t be threatening, Donato. This fight is not lost. We will bring our boy back!” assures Diógenes (Chico Pelúcio).

Amor Perfeito, a soap opera by Duca Rachid and Júlio Fischer, also written by Elísio Lopes Jr., has been on the air since March and the final chapter is scheduled to air on September 22nd. The plot is replaced by the remake of Elas por Elas (1982).
