Tommy Tremblay, better known as PETiTOM, has talent to spare. Since his time with Mixmania 2, La Voix and Révolution, his success has continued.

More recently, the versatile artist landed the lead role in the musical Molière, which was performed at the Dôme de Paris.
“We worked on this whole show for eight months and presented it for a few weeks and we received nothing but praise,” he assures.
In addition, several audience members said that after seeing this moving performance, they wanted to reacquaint themselves with the works of this icon of the French language.
“For me it is the most beautiful musical,” says one audience member in a voxpop that is circulating on social networks. “Everything shocked me.”
“You had to have the courage to present Molière in this way, it is very powerful and very successful,” says another.
Touched by these statements from the audience, PETiTOM reiterates that the aim of presenting this show was to “reinvent the musical”, which, in its opinion, explains the excitement of the audience.
“Usually it’s just music and in this case we chose rap, slam, singing and dancing,” he says emotionally. “As someone who grew up with hip-hop culture, this show is right up my alley.”
Thorough preparation
The artist did not initially audition for the lead role and had to prepare to play Molière when he finally got the role. PETiTOM had to study the French-speaking playwright in depth, but also adapt his diction to stay true to the role.
“I read his works and went to the Comédie-Française to see plays,” he explains. “I’m steeped in it.”

Although there is a large collection of writings, PETiTOM and its director discovered that there was very little information about Molière’s personal life, which made studying the character quite difficult.
“So we built a Molière as we imagined it and a modern-day Molière,” he says. “We have a Molière who does acrobatics, who dances, but we have come as close as possible to his true story.”

An album in preparation
PETiTOM’s roadmap illustrates his desire to perform on multiple levels simultaneously, both as a singer and a dancer.
Of these passions, however, it is music that occupies him the most. The young multidisciplinary artist is also preparing an album that will be released soon.

“We scream our lives into music,” he says. “I have a lot to say in this album and that’s why I’m taking my time.”
