Under the supervision of the CRP Component Coordinator, the Perinatal Aide provides home recovery services, conducts birth and parenthood preparation meetings, and may be required to provide relationship counseling. Help.

Relevailles is a respite service adapted to the reality of each family, aimed at all families who have a child aged 12 months and younger or pregnant people experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.

The perinatal worker must recognize parents' expertise regarding their children and act in accordance with their values ​​and way of life, while protecting the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of families through professional and humane care.

The main tasks that the perinatal assistant performs in families are:

  • Travel to the homes of their assigned families;
  • Demonstrate that you are listening to families actively and non-judgmentally;
  • Caring for babies or siblings ages 5 and younger;
  • Provide babysitting for babies and siblings under 5 years old;
  • Do light household chores;
  • Assist parents in preparing meals as needed;
  • Accompany parents to a doctor's appointment;
  • Offer breastfeeding support, enrichment;
  • Schedule appointments with families and remind them the day before the appointments.

Moderation of birth and parenting preparation meetings

  • Facilitation of birth and parenthood preparation meetings, from pregnancy to the postnatal experience;
  • Manages administrative planning for each cohort within his or her area of ​​responsibility;
  • Facilitate the postnatal meetings of the cohorts under his care.

  • Participate in team meetings;
  • Actively collaborate with the entire team;
  • Keep your diary updated;
  • Stay current on perinatal best practices;
  • Be open to developing new services in response to the needs of families

Knowledge and know-how

  • You have completed or are currently completing training in a field;
  • Have a genuine interest in perinatal care;
  • have experience with babies and children under 5 years old;
  • You have skills, knowledge and/or experience in relationship support;
  • Knowledge of breastfeeding is an advantage;
  • Have a Class 5 driving license and a car.
