While waiting for his coffee, he allegedly went outside to smoke a cigarette.
Last week, Davidson suddenly pulled out of his solo comedy shows scheduled for December 22 and 23 in New York City, along with future dates in Pittsburgh scheduled for the new year.

Those who had booked tickets for the show at New York's Beacon Theater were notified by email just hours before the show began.
The venue tweeted the show's cancellation just two hours before the event was scheduled to begin, while performances in Pennsylvania were put on hold at midday Friday.
“Please note that the Pete Davidson performances scheduled to take place at the Beacon Theater on Friday, December 22nd and Saturday, December 23rd have been canceled.”
Anyone who purchased tickets will automatically receive a refund within 30 days.
“We thank you for your understanding and look forward to your continued patronage,” the statement continued.

Davidson, 30, was on SNL from 2014 to 2022 and was one of the youngest cast members in the show's history.
The Staten Island native has appeared in several films and is known for his high-profile relationships with people like Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian.
Pete is currently dating Cline.
The couple's budding romance first surfaced in October – but while they enjoyed their time together, they reportedly don't consider their romance “serious.”
Davidson has publicly struggled with his mental health and substance abuse.
In June, the actor entered rehab after battling borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In 2017, when he was 23, he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.
“Pete regularly goes to rehab to improve and get a mental break, and that’s exactly what’s happening,” Page Six reported at the time.
“I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) a few years ago and I was always so confused and just thinking something was wrong and didn't know how to deal with it,” he said in an interview with Variety .
“When someone finally tells you, the weight of the world falls off your shoulders. “You feel so much better,” he said.
In late July, Davidson was spotted at a pizzeria in Florida after spending part of a month in rehab.
