Pete Davidson reveals he was so high on KETAMIN at Aretha Franklin's funeral in 2018 that he told the singer's family he would like to “pay his RESPECT” during a shameful incident.

Pete Davidson has revealed he was high on ketamine while attending Aretha Franklin's funeral in 2018.

The 30-year-old comedian, who previously revealed he took the dissociative drug daily for four years, said in his Netflix special “Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli” that he was embarrassed by the incident.

He said, “But it's embarrassing when you stop taking ketamine… I'm embarrassed.” I was like that. That's not cool, you know?

“I’ve been to funerals like that.” That’s shitty, right? I was at Aretha Franklin's funeral like that. Yes, I have to live with that. You know what I mean?

“She'll never know, but that's still not the point.” You know what I mean?”

“If she were there, she would probably say, ‘Hey, who are you? And what the hell are you doing at my funeral?”

'It's embarrassing. I'm so high that I thought it would be a good idea to go up to her family and say, “Hey, I'm just here to show my RESPECT…S.”'

The star caused major confusion when he attended the music icon's service with his then-fiancée Ariana Grande.

The two happily posed for photos at former President Bill Clinton's funeral.

In September 2023, the star told the audience at his comedy show in Atlantic City that he believes that “you can't do drugs when you're 30” because “it's not cute anymore” and “you're just a drug addict.”

Davidson is currently dating actress Madelyn Cline.

The couple began dating late last year, a month after the Staten Island native split from Chase Sui Wonders.

An insider told that while Madelyn is having “fun” with the funny guy, she doesn't think the relationship will be anything more than “a good time.”

“Madelyn expects her current relationship with Pete to be just a good time and it won’t be her last,” the source said.

“She thinks he's hilarious and funny and all she cares about is spending time with him, but she's 25 and doesn't want anything serious.” She wants to chase fun and thinks Pete thinks the same thing and that it's just in their relationship “It’s about having a good time.”

The person added: “It's not serious by any means.” She's taking it day by day and that's all that's helping her at the moment. Pete shouldn't expect her to be his soulmate; She doesn't give off that vibe.'

Davidson dated Chase from December 2022 until news of their split broke in August – two months after he entered rehab for his ongoing battle with borderline personality disorder and PTSD.

At the time of their split, another source told Us Weekly, “There is no bad blood or any hard feelings between them.”

“Their relationship was just over and they decided they just wanted other things.”

Pete and Chase's paths first crossed on the set of Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Last June, Pete entered rehab amid an ongoing battle with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – just weeks after he left a profanity-filled voicemail to the charity PETA.

Davidson, who has spoken openly about his mental health struggles, entered the facility to take a “mental health break”, can confirm.

A friend told Page Six, “Pete goes to rehab regularly to better himself and get a mental break, so that's exactly what's happening.”

A close source added: “Anyone who knows Pete knows he will always step in and get help when he knows he needs it.”

“He has a lot of people around him who love him and support him and are proud of him.”

“He is taking a well-deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.”

Davidson's father, Scott Davidson, was a firefighter who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11 when the comedian and actor was just seven years old – and the star has previously spoken about his mental health following his father's death.
