Phil Roy was on the podcast of Marie Claude Barettewhere he touched on several personal aspects of his life.

The comedian offered us a very touching moment as he addressed the perinatal grief he and his wife Virginie experienced before the birth of their daughter Billie.

When Phil Roy drew a card on the subject from the host, he broke down in tears and spoke about this great loss.

“Perinatal grief is what puts me in this state, you know that. “We lost a child before we had Billie… and I’ll never recover,” says Phil Roy.

“Is it still there today?” Marie-Claude Barette then asks him.

“It will always hurt me,” reveals the comedian, very moved.

“What hurts you so much?” asks Marie-Claude, who, if we remember, has already experienced the loss of a child.

“Well, it’s about putting myself back in the state that this loss left me in. Then for me it was about mourning whatever I wanted to do with that child (…) When I’m scared I do disaster scenarios and when things are going well I do disaster scenarios. Walt Disney movies, everything is fine and we are happy. There we go to the ice rink (…) and drink a hot chocolate afterwards. Then it was all taken from me (…) It will always be difficult for me,” says Phil Roy through tears.

Remember Phil Roy and Virginie are now the happy parents of two-year-old Billie and are awaiting the arrival of another daughter.

A very moving moment…
