An American Airlines flight attendant who was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room with a cloth in her mouth earlier this week was identified Thursday as Diana Ramos.
Ramos, 66, was found dead at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
Philadelphia police have classified the death as “suspicious” and homicide investigators are searching for answers. No weapons were found at the scene and no arrests were made, police said.

Before Ramos was identified as the deceased, American Airlines issued a statement saying it was “devastated by the news.”
“Our thoughts are with the family and colleagues and we are doing everything we can to ensure everyone affected receives the support they need during this difficult time,” the airline said. “We will continue to cooperate fully with local law enforcement in their investigation,” he said.

An airline flight attendant told Fox News Digital that she spoke with Ramos’ flight crew, who said she was supposed to be the lead flight attendant for a flight from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.
“The crew said they were staying at a hotel in the Philadelphia airport,” said the flight attendant, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “They didn’t meet in the lobby for pickup as usual since the hotel is at the airport. There was no need for a van shuttle.”

“When the crew arrived at their gate and discovered that one of the flight attendants was not at the gate, they informed the gate agents that a crew member was missing and one of the crew members said that, as far as they knew, another crew member was trying Had to call the hotel twice to check on the missing crew member.”
Authorities have not clarified what caused Ramos’ death or whether anyone was involved. Her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, police said. The results are still pending.
A Marriott spokesman previously told Fox News Digital that the hotel chain was cooperating with police.
