Phillip Danault is still enjoying Los Angeles

Quebecois Phillip Danault continues to spin perfect fortunes with the Los Angeles Kings, and the former Montreal Canadiens forward hit a significant plateau on Saturday night.

The California team defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-1. They have an excellent record of 9-0-2 in their last 11 games and Danault has played an important part in their success.

The Victoriaville native hit the 300-point mark in his 543rd career game as an accomplice to Alex Iafallo, who scored the winner early in the middle third.

Danault is on track to set a new personal best. He had 18 goals and 50 points in 72 games. In his most productive career season, 2018-2019, he had accumulated 53 points with CH.

Thanks to their winning streak, the Kings are installed at second place in the Pacific Division.

They are also on track to face the Edmonton Oilers for the second straight season in the first round of the playoffs. Last year, the Alberta team triumphed in seven games.

-Also, Kings forward Blake Lizotte is due to explain himself to Player Security on Sunday. He checked hard in the face of Josh Morrissey during Saturday’s game.
