The 28-year-old actress appeared on the cover of ELLE’s October 2023 issue, where she discussed her short-lived romance with Pete Davidson and the pressures of working in a male-dominated industry ahead of her upcoming new film Fair Play.

While discussing her relationship with Pete – who went on to date Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski and Chase Sui Wonders after her – Phoebe admitted that she initially “didn’t think anyone would be interested in her relationship with the former “Saturday Night Live” comedian , 29, although she said she was “naive” to believe that.

When speaking about her relationship with Pete, Phoebe spoke of her surprise at the public interest in the couple, adding that she was “just a young woman and dating, and it kind of sparks a conversation.”
She mentioned some of the “hard lessons” she learned from the experience.
“You realize, ‘Oh, I can’t live my life like I used to. I have to keep my cards a little closer to my chest,” she shared. “For example, there was a time when I would post everything on my Instagram, and now I’m very, very careful about what I put out into the world.”
She added that she found it frustrating that fans would make up “any story they wanted” from photos of her and Pete, even though she knew what really happened between the couple.
Phoebe also shared that because she is a woman in the entertainment industry, her “anxiety is greater” because she is constantly exposed to other people’s opinions of her and her romantic relationships.

However, Fair Play won’t be Phoebe’s first experience filming raunchy scenes for television.
