Lisa Kudrow, star of “Friends” and co-star of the late Matthew Perry, believes her co-star may have died as a result of his drugs, probably from indigestion, while he was in his hot tub. A source explained this to the Chron, explaining that the actress, just as desperate as the rest of the cast, offered to look after the actor’s dog.
Emergency services intervened due to a water emergency and then the discovery
While the causes that led to the drowning death are not yet fully understood, new details are emerging about the alarm that sounded at the Los Angeles home. Suzanne, Perry’s mother, and Keith Morrison, his stepfather, were among the first to arrive at their son’s home following news of his death. Shortly afterwards, Perry’s biological father, 82-year-old actor John Bennett Perry, arrived. Emergency crews were called to the Friends star’s home for a “water emergency” and when they arrived on scene they discovered Perry’s body. Police sources told NBC News and CNN that they initially believed they had to help someone with a breakdown. Perry is believed to have drowned several hours after a pickleball game, and in a recording of the 911 call, a man can be heard saying “Save 23” and “Drowning.” A law enforcement source told TMZ that investigators discovered antidepressants and anti-anxiety pills in the apartment, but no illegal drugs were found inside.
