A man is between life and death after a collision caused by a motorist traveling in the opposite direction on the freeway in the Quebec City sector Thursday night on Thursday night.

At around 2 a.m., the driver of a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction north on the southbound Robert-Bourassa highway collided head-on with a pickup truck near Père Boulevard-Hare.

According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver at fault suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries, while his passenger escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the van was also seriously injured and taken to a hospital where his life was feared, said spokeswoman Hélène St-Pierre.

A reconstruction specialist from the SQ was dispatched to the scene of the accident to try to determine the exact circumstances of this serious accident.
The Robert-Bourassa motorway has been closed between the exit to Boulevard Père-Lelièvre and Chemin Sainte-Foy, has been added.
