The house in Santo Domingo is the real retreat of Mara Venier, who comes here every summer with her husband Nicola Carraro to spend carefree days after the work commitments in Rai are over. Venier’s apartment on the Dominican island is the most relaxing imaginable. Totally white walls that give the idea of a hyper comfortable place, characterized only by the large windows overlooking the front garden. The furniture is in white and wood, while the paintings and cushions reflect the colorful reds and oranges of the local tradition. The floor is made of highly polished marble.
The garden, consisting of a perfectly manicured lawn, palm trees and low trees, has a light marble floor and a swimming pool in the centre. At the pool deck chairs, tables and everything you need for a little relaxation while sunbathing. And then wicker tables and chairs for al fresco dining with family and friends. In fact, Mara’s relatives often come here, especially the children Paolo and Elisabetta together with their nephews Claudio and Giulio.
