Two brothers from Vaudreuil-Dorion, who adhere to neo-Nazi ideologies and have hidden a veritable war arsenal in their apartment, are now threatened with several criminal charges.

When officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrived at the home of Jordan Madden and his brother Joshua in late November, they were surprised to find a large quantity of firearms and thousands of ammunition.

“We absolutely did not expect to find this,” admitted Corporal Charles Poirier, spokesman for the RCMP.

First, it was the Canada Border Services Agency that tipped off the Madden brothers, who were suspected of receiving far-right propaganda material.

The RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team then launched an investigation.

On the day of November 30, police searched the home of the two 29- and 31-year-old men on Aquin Avenue in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

It finally took law enforcement three full days to seize all the illegal material found there, including 37 firearms, gun parts, military supplies, more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition, 200 high-capacity magazines and various items “linked to far-right ideologies.” .

However, authorities asserted that “there is nothing to believe” that the two brothers were fomenting any plots to attack people. The Madden brothers were arms dealers and did business across Canada.

“The defendants sourced their supplies from various online platforms from legitimate companies and illegal international sellers. The weapons were then sold on the illicit Canadian market,” the RCMP said.

Jordan and Joshua Madden will appear at the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield courthouse on Friday on seven counts, including firearm trafficking.
