Two-time Oscar winner Brad Pitt showcases his passion for architecture and landscaping at his 15-acre beachfront getaway in Goleta, California, where carefully planted vegetation creates colorful patterns on the beach.
The Oklahoma-born 59-year-old originally bought the property — located near Gaviota State Park nine miles west of Santa Barbara — for $4 million in 2000, although estimates today are closer to $20 million.
Brad’s eccentric details at the beachfront residence include a ceremonial-looking teepee surrounded by a fence, cloaked in the woods at the edge of the property, and accessed via a long set of steps.
“I love that architecture is a huge work of art to be in,” Pitt told Oprah Winfrey in 2004.
“I believe it uplifts your soul and affects the way you think.”
