A Dallas Ralph Lauren employee tragically died in a horrific drunken hit-and-run accident, leaving her TikTok star roommate clinging to life in the intensive care unit.
Sara House, 22, was remembered as a “bright spirit” by her heartbroken family after she died in an accident on February 11 that killed her fellow TikTok star Camryn Herriage, 23 had to fight for her life in the intensive care unit for a month.
As the 23-year-old shows signs of recovery, tributes abound for her college roommate House, who was memorialized in a heartbreaking GoFundMe for her “bright spirit and infectious laughter.”
“Sara was known for her compassionate nature and unwavering desire to make everyone around her happy,” her loved ones said last month.
“Her kindness and caring behavior touched the lives of many people and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.”
The two were approached on February 11 by an “extremely intoxicated” woman, later identified as 27-year-old Carmen Guerrero, who passersby said fled the scene on foot before being arrested 11 days later.

House, 23, worked as an executive sales associate assistant at Ralph Lauren after graduating from Texas Tech, studied business, management and marketing and also competed in bikini competitions.
Herriage and House were in a car with three other friends when they were allegedly hit by Guerrero while waiting for a red light.
At the scene, witnesses claimed they saw the driver who caused the crash escape from the driver's side of the Ford truck and run away “wearing a little black dress and white bell-bottom shoes,” an affidavit said.
Witnesses described the woman as “extremely drunk” and were identified as Guerrero after investigators found her wallet in the abandoned truck.
Guerrero was taken into custody 11 days after the crash and is now facing multiple charges, including manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held in the Dallas County Jail.

The latest update from Herriage's family said she was showing “remarkable progress.”
“This continued improvement is encouraging for everyone involved and we are filled with hope and gratitude for these positive signs,” Herriage’s family said in a Facebook update on Wednesday.
In a positive update on Herriage's recovery released Wednesday, Herriage's family said she had “another fantastic night” and showed clear signs of being able to “breathe on her own again.”
“The medical team is strategically managing the use of her ventilator, allowing her to breathe independently at regular intervals.” While this will occasionally trigger an amber alert on the computer, this is a normal part of the process,” the update said.
“Excitingly, Camryn has reached a significant milestone: She was able to track with both eyes last night and this morning, which she had been unable to do, particularly on her left side.”
They said their nurses are “thrilled” with their recovery progress and that their “continuous improvement is encouraging for everyone involved, and we are hopeful and grateful for these positive signs.”
In an earlier update, her family said she was due for a skull replacement in about two months.

While Herriage continues to fight for her life in the intensive care unit, her older sister Casie Campanello has not left her side for weeks.
“Literally a careless act. “Put us in a situation that has changed all of our lives,” she said. “We are very helpless and just stay strong for them, but that is very difficult to see.”
She added: “When she came out of her first operation the surgeon told us he had never seen anyone come to hospital with her injury. 'So she has a purpose.'
