Declan Donnelly has sunk a whopping £2.25million into the property next to his west London home after it fell into disrepair.
The 48-year-old TV presenter has invested huge sums in his £7million home in Chiswick, adding a cinema, swimming pool, steam room and poolside kitchen.
The property next to I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Host Dec's house-turned-flats had become an “eyesore” and he and his wife Ali, 45, bought it to spruce it up.
Dec and Ali purchased the neighboring property in December 2022 in the name of their trust, Ludlow Trust Company Limited.
They have applied for planning permission from their local authority, the London Borough of Hounslow, to build a single-storey rear extension and carry out internal alterations.

The property next to I'm A Celebrity presenter Dec's home, which has been converted into apartments, had become an “eyesore” and he and his wife Ali, 45, bought it to spruce it up
The building previously consisted of five apartments rented privately, but fell into disrepair over the years and was considered a sight for sore eyes compared to other houses on the tree-lined street where Dec lives.
The building was boarded up and planning notices were posted outside. Smaller work has already begun and there is a container filled with building rubble in the front garden.
One local resident said: “This is a very elegant and exclusive area.” This property wouldn't be an eyesore to most people, but it does exist around here.
“Dec has spent a lot of money on his house and you can understand why he wouldn’t want to live next to a shabby property.”
It is unclear whether Dec will keep the property or resell it once the work is completed.
A source told The Sun: “The street Dec lives on is very chic and lined with large family homes and his apartment is one of the most impressive villas there.”
“But other neighbors took less care of their property and the one bang next to Dec had become quite an eyesore.
“Most people would have to live with the disrepair, but Dec took the initiative and snapped it up when it came on the market.”
“The façade has already been secured and boarded up for reconstruction and the planning application has been received. And if it’s a piece of space for Dec’s house when it’s finished, it’s a great investment.”
Dec and fellow TV presenter Ant McPartlin, 48, were left red-faced earlier this month after an old clip of them singing 'Eternal Love' resurfaced.

Before joining primetime television, the presenters found fame as PJ and Duncan after starring in Newcastle-based CBBC drama Byker Grove.
Following their successful appearance on the series, Ant and Dec, both 48, appeared together using the names of their characters from the series.
A video of them performing the track on This Morning in 1994 has since gone viral, with fans of the pair describing it as “difficult to watch”.
The clip didn't go unnoticed by Ant and Dec themselves, who commented: “Hahahaha!! For us it is a more difficult task.'
In the clip, the Saturday Night Takeaway hosts wore long-sleeved tops, baggy jeans and sneakers.
Her casual outfits were a far cry from her typically elegant appearance that fans recognize today.
They released the lyrics to “Eternal Love,” which included lines like, “Back when we first met // I'll never forget that time we had.”
As well as the harrowing lyrics, they also took down some questionable moves, as one fan joked on Instagram: “The necks were neck-breaking.”

Fans of the duo found the video hilarious, including host Stacey Dooley, who commented: “I've watched it like 100 times.”
However, another person admitted that they found it difficult to watch for more than six seconds.
A third joked: “Never say they haven't worked for what they've got.”
Another wrote: “This is a gift for the two boys who auditioned on X Factor with a mystery girl.”
Another person said: 'Ant and Dec – who are they!?' I think you'll notice this is PJ and Duncan – last seen at the Grove in Byker.'
