PICTURED: Julia Fox’s father is sighted two days after being arrested for ghost guns and drugs

Julia Fox’s estranged father, Thomas, was spotted outside his Manhattan apartment two days after he was arrested with his son on gun and drug charges.

Thomas Fox, 65, was not charged during Wednesday’s raid but his son Christopher, 30, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of a machine gun and manufacture of a modified rapid-fire device.

The materials found in his home also led to him being charged with manufacturing a dangerous instrument, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of drug paraphilia.

Christopher appeared before a judge on Thursday and was charged. He is being held on $450,000 bail.

At the hearing, Assistant District Attorney Cyril Heron outlined the extent of the investigation that involved Fox.

“Between March 2018 and December 2022, the defendant purchased at least 190 spirit weapon items totaling over $7,600,” Heron said. “All of these items were sent to the defendant’s home.”

“More than $8,000 in cash was also confiscated. Notably, the NYPD has not recovered a significant number of the items reflected in his purchase history, suggesting he manufactured and sold ghost weapons,” Heron added.

Fox is scheduled to appear in court again on March 13.

Christopher has two prior sealed arrests. But his father Thomas has no criminal record.

Ghost weapons, bomb-making materials and evidence of narcotics manufacture were uncovered in the early Wednesday raid.

Photos show a chaotic scene at the home where unidentified pills, a pill press, fentanyl, pressure cookers, chloroform, heroin, propane, explosives and formaldehyde were also reportedly caught.

Investigators discovered 3D printers on the property that they believe are used to manufacture the Ghost Guns – firearms with no traceable serial numbers. There was also a treasure trove of illegal materials, including thousands of dollars worth of luxury wine bottles.

The raid, conducted at 6 a.m., was reportedly part of a larger NYPD investigation into the spread of ghost guns in the Big Apple.

Neighbors who reported seeing dozens of police including 15 SWAT officers searching the building before arresting the couple on the street told it was not a shock.

“If you were to say that someone in the building was doing something weird in their apartment, you would be like, ‘That makes sense, it’s this guy,'” said a neighbor.

Neighbors said they hadn’t seen Christopher in years and speculated he performed his operation in a padlocked room.

“I guess he always stayed in the apartment,” they said. “I heard they let the father go because he claimed he didn’t know what the son was doing – the son was behind closed doors.

“I can’t lock it in my apartment, so it must have been padlocked. I have no idea how the father allowed his son to padlock another room.”

Julia said in a 2019 interview with High Snobiety that she doesn’t often see her father or “hermit” brother, whom she described as a “mad scientist.”

Following the raid, was exclusively told by a source that the Uncut Gems star cut ties with both of her family members years ago.

“Julia and Christopher were raised by their unstable, abusive and unhinged father. She was aware of her father’s and brother’s 3D printing and suspected drug use, but has no direct knowledge as she has not been in contact with any of them,” the source said.

“Her father is insane and has caused her emotional trauma that she will have to deal with for the rest of her life. She knew his life would catch up with him one day. She’s glad no one was hurt by his disgusting actions.’

Julia has not spoken to any of her family members since her arrest, the source confirmed.

Julia and her brother, who were once close, have been estranged for years after he “became just like his father”.

“When Julia was young, her father didn’t take care of her and her brother. She was forced into his care and they were living on the streets and in parks as a result of his actions,” the source said.

“Her brother became just like him and she cut him off too. As she became successful, her father and brother tried to make things right for her so that she could ride her coattails, but she would not allow it.

An NYPD spokesman said after the raid: “The NYPD Ghost Gun Team seized several Ghost Gun parts as well as narcotic pill pressing equipment.

“Team members also discovered materials typically used as components in explosives, including pressure cookers and various chemicals that can also be used to create narcotics.”

While a number of worrying items have been discovered in the home, including bomb-making materials, authorities say they don’t believe there is a threat to the public.

“At this point, it is believed that matters are contained and there is no apparent link to terrorism,” the spokesman added.

“The NYPD will continue to fight relentlessly against illegal guns – both against the steady proliferation of traditionally manufactured firearms and the increasingly prevalent number of illegal, untraceable but fully functional guns known as ghost guns.”

It is believed that Julia Fox was unaware of her relative’s alleged criminal activities and was reportedly not in New York at the time of the raid.

Julia, speaking about her relatives in the 2019 interview, described her brother as a “hermit.”

“The older (brother) grew up with me in New York. He still lives here, but he’s not really there,’ she said.

“He’s like a mad scientist, hermit.”

The actress – who once dated Kanye West – hilariously branded her two-bedroom apartment as “underwhelming” as she revealed she sleeps in the living room next to her friend’s ashes, keeps shoes in her kitchen and while on tour has a mouse problem.

“I never thought in a million years that I would do this, but I believe in maximum transparency and that’s why I’m going to give you guys a tour of the apartment. I know I’m getting roasted,’ she said.

The ghost gun stabbing operation comes amid a raid by New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Last year he called on the Biden administration to increase funding to prevent the untraceable guns from hitting the streets.

Adams condemned the citywide proliferation of guns, which he says is a growing contributor to gun violence and murders in New York.

“We need to remove spirit weapons from our communities and those who make them need to be shut down,” he said at the time.

“The bad guys are outstripping us,” he continued. “We are too slow to identify and correct the loopholes in the violence.”
