New images from surveillance cameras show that presenter Bruno De Luca crossed the avenue and returned to the kiosk after actor Kayky Britto was run over on the beach of Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro on the night of September 2nd.
The images come from RecordTV’s Domingo Espetacular and are an expanded version of previously published images. They show the presenter desperately putting his hands on his head when he realizes that his friend has been run over.
Brito suffered polytrauma and a traumatic brain injury and continues to be treated at the Copa D’Or Hospital in Rio de Janeiro. Elsewhere in the camera, the presenter is seen walking to the back of the kiosk to speak to the staff after noticing his friend was injured.
Witnesses to the incident interviewed by the show said they asked De Luca if he would help his friend and that he left the scene shortly after.
According to the interviews shown in the report, both the host and the actor were drunk and very changed and, contrary to the version De Luca gave the authorities, did not say goodbye.
MP Ângelo Lages, owner of the 16th DP in Barra da Tijuca, points to the presenter as the main witness and even asked why he left the car and did not help the actor.
