Pierre-Luc Brillant reveals Jean-Marc Vallée’s message before filming CRAZY | Hollywoodpq.com – HollywoodPQ

“Tabarouette, he’s humble!”

Pierre Luc Brilliant is an actor we love to watch on screen, but sometimes we also love to hate… like for his notable role as Raymond in CRAZY

This film project was produced by Jean-Marc Vallee and with the big ones Michel Côtéboth of whom have sadly passed away, is one of the greatest Quebec films of all time.

Pierre Luc Brilliant was on the show TV children and after watching an excerpt from the film, he revealed what Jean-Marc had told him back in preparation for the role when asked:

“Did you know, did you have the feeling on set that we were filming something historical?”

“Listen, Jean-Marc in all his modesty… when he showed us a few pictures of what our characters should look like at the beginning, he showed me things from Jim Morrison and Co. (…) He showed me a scene Goodfellas where Ray Liotta hits someone with the butt of a gun. He says: This is your character, this is the aggressiveness I want. He says: I just want you to know that this film is going to be a great film, that you are committed to something… I said to myself: Tabarouette, he is humble! But he was absolutely right! It wasn’t presumptuous on his part (…) He himself had matured a lot. “He had worked on it and knew what he was getting into,” reveals Pierre-Luc, visibly touched by the memory of his former director.

A wonderful moment in the company of Pierre-Luc Brillant, a very talented actor.
