Tragedy struck a television in the US state of New Jersey. A crew from the station was flying a helicopter over Wharton State Forest when the plane crashed.
The pilot and the photographer who were in the helicopter were killed. The accident occurred around 8 p.m. last Tuesday in the area of Quaker Bridge Atsion Road and Middle Road in Washington Township.

The plane was used by 6ABC Action News. There is still no information about what could have caused the accident. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) is investigating the case.
The aircraft was a 2013 American Eurocopter AS350ASTAR that 6ABC leased from US Helicopters.
According to the information, the pilot and photographer had just returned from reporting in the Jersey Shore area when the plane crashed. The names of the victims were not released. However, television reported that the employees had been with the team for years.

The aircraft was flying over Wharton State Forest at the time of the accident. New Jersey police officers were able to locate the crash site. Access is very difficult due to its location in the forest.
