Pink wows 16,000 fans who gathered at the Bell Center for her “Trustfall” tour

Aerial acrobatics, lots of hits, lots of energy and attitude. Singer Pink spared no effort to impress eyes and ears, taming the Bell Center for the first of two Montreal concerts on her tour Trust caseWednesday evening.

Pink didn’t waste a second before setting the tone for the evening; In an oversized mouth suspended above the stage, she performed and jumped into the void, spinning along the elastic cables that held her in place. The title “Get the Party Started” couldn’t have been better chosen to open the ball. The singer invites her fans to a real and grandiose party where anything is possible.

And we expected nothing less from her.

Radiant from head to toe, the American lived up to her reputation as a stage beast by revisiting the hits on which she has built her empire for almost 25 years. From “Raise Your Glass” to “So What”, including “Don’t Let Me Get Me”, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”, “What About Us” and “Try”, Pink showed the full extent of her repertoire and of their talent and at the same time multiplied the backfiring visual excesses.

Impressive lightness

And she shows the same ease when it’s time to sit behind the piano to replay “Make You Feel My Love” as she does flying across the floor on “Turbulence” or even the one Playing Rockstar by borrowing “Heartbreaker” by Pat Benatar.

We know that some artists use these tricks to throw smoke and mirrors into the air and compensate for certain, often vocal, deficiencies. But not pink. Because beyond pirouettes, pyrotechnic effects and other circus arts, she is capable of spectacular and perfectly mastered flights. She has proven this on many occasions, putting aside the excesses to assert the tone on “Who Knew”, “Just Like a Pill”, “Please Don’t Leave Me” or “Lost Cause”.

In short, she is an absolute artist at the peak of her art who blew away 16,000 loud, enthusiastic and ultimately satisfied fans. Because we leave a Pink concert out of breath, amazed and, above all, astonished by the impressive machine that she masterfully controls during her two hours on stage.

  • Pink will return to the Bell Center stage Thursday night.
