Pinkydoll – real name Fedha Autre – is this Montrealer who rose to fame this summer thanks to her live videos on TikTok. By imitating a secondary video game character, she mechanically responds to the “gifts” users send her, collecting thousands of dollars per session.
This instant popularity earned him an invitation to Los Angeles on August 27 to perform at the Streamy Awards, a recognition ceremony for productions intended for the Internet.
His appearance on stage sparked a huge reaction from members of the African American community. On TikTok, many were surprised by the skin color, which was darker on TV than in his TikTok videos. Some suspected that she was using a filter to lighten her skin on TikTok and regretted that she was naturally prettier. Others have put forward the sad hypothesis that without the filter it might not have been as successful.

Others recalled that she plays an artificial intelligence-derived character on TikTok and that she could use a filter if she wanted. Internet users have also pointed out that Pinkydoll is already posting natural photos of herself on social networks.
Asked by TMZ about the topic, Pinkydoll stated that she gets darker when she goes out in the sun. “I love being a black woman,” the 27-year-old concluded.
