Piqué Responds To Shakira's Provocation With A Punch And Comes Up With A Twingo

The soap opera about the breakup of Shakira and Piqué has gotten another chapter. After the singer released a song full of references to her exhusband in collaboration with DJ Bizarrap, it was the Spaniard’s turn to face the provocation. This Sunday (15th), the former player came to an event in a Renault Twingo.

The car was mentioned by Shakira in the song in question, Shakira BZRP Music Sessions #53. In one of the clips from the hit, which has reached 100 million views on YouTube, she says Piqué “traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo,” referring to his current girlfriend, young Clara Chia.

LOL, Piqué goes to the KingsLeague, a tournament that the Spaniard simply created in a Twingo, and refers to the song Shakira made with several references to him.

The former defender had already announced on Spanish television that he would be taking the car mentioned in the song to the Kings League, a football tournament he created. The Spaniard even struck a sponsorship deal with Renault. The Twingo is a popular car sold in European countries. In Brazil, it can be compared to Sandero, also distributed by the French brand.

That wasn’t Piqué’s first reaction to Shakira’s music. Last Friday (13th), the former player said that the watch brand Casio will sponsor the Kings League. The company was also mentioned in the hit, once again as a provocation to Clara Chia: “You swapped a Rolex for a Casio,” says the excerpt.

Shakira and Piqué were together for 11 years and had two children: Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7. The relationship ended last year following the former Barcelona athlete’s alleged betrayal.
