According to Spanish TV, a month after his departure, Piqué tried to reconcile with Shakira. However, paparazzo Jordi Martín claims that this reversal took place while Piqué was dating his current girlfriend, Clara Chía, which would have been one of the main reasons for the breakup.
It was only after the reconciliation went awry that Piqué and Shakira decided to go public with the end of their 11year relationship.
