A plane carrying 72 passengers collided with the Seti River Gorge in the city of Pokhara, the third largest in Nepal. After reflection According to Prensa Latina agency, the causes of the plane crash are unknown.

Aboard the ATR-72 operated by Yeti Airlines from Nepal, there were 68 passengers and four crew members, including 25 women and six children. So far they have recovered the bodies of 69 people and there is little chance of finding the rest alive.
The plane flew in between Kathmandu and the new Pokhara Airport, some 200 kilometers from the capital. The accident happened less than a minute after arriving at the destination and without adverse weather conditions.

This accident is the third deadliest of the 68 that Nepal has amassed. After According to data from the Aviation Safety Network, July and September 1992 saw the highest number of deaths, with 113 and 167 deaths, respectively.

Nepal is home to eight of the 17 highest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest. The main cause of aircraft accidents in the country are collisions with mountains hidden by clouds. Adverse weather conditions make Nepal a country with a high rate of air accidents.
