Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre condemned “terrorist attacks against the Jewish community, particularly in Montreal, but also elsewhere.” [aussi]», during a press conference in Vancouver on Monday.

“The Jewish community is the target of terrorists around the world and it is unacceptable for terrorists here in Canada to commit school shootings or other acts of hate against this community,” he said.
Also on Sunday, the building of a Jewish school in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district was targeted by gunfire for the second time in three days.
Add to that shootings at another Jewish school, a Molotov cocktail thrown at a synagogue, and even a brawl at Concordia University, to name just a few examples that took place in Montreal amid rising tensions between communities.
Mr. Poilievre, whose party rejects a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, minced no words and broadly emphasized the duty to fight “terrorism,” a term used by the political class for hate crimes committed in Canada Happening since the year, not little or no use has been made of the resumption of hostilities in the Middle East last month.
“Terrorism is unacceptable and we should act quickly to arrest and detain everyone involved [au] Terrorism here in Canada,” Mr. Poilievre said.

“You can have any opinion about what’s happening in the Middle East. It is your right. But you have no right to attack other Canadians.”
Mr. Poilievre reiterated his request to place the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Canada’s list of terrorist entities because it “acts here in Canada” by terrorizing “Canadians of Persian origin and Jews.”
“Justin Trudeau is allowing them to continue to live in peace and comfort while inciting and engaging in terrorism on our territory,” the Conservative leader said. “Ban these terrorists and send these Tehran tyrants living here back to where they came from.”
