Police are looking for the gun and camera of the suspect in the Madeleine McCann case in the dam

Police are looking for a gun and video camera believed to belong to Christian Brueckner, the prime suspect in the 2007 disappearance of Madeleine McCann. A new manhunt is underway in Portugal for Maddie, who has never been found.

What happened:

The items the police were looking for were allegedly stolen from Brueckner’s apartment. and according to a whistleblower and former friend of the suspect, they would have been thrown into a dam in the Algarve, Portugal. The information comes from the British newspaper Chron.

Police believe the camera may contain images of Madeleine. in addition to records of the other sexual assaults allegedly committed by Brueckner. The search is mainly conducted on the shore, as the water level is below normal.

The whistleblower’s report corroborated the testimony of two other men, Manfred Seyferth and Helge Busching, witnesses to the case, who allegedly reported a breakin at Brueckner’s home. when he was arrested, according to the Chron.

According to Seyferth and Busching, when they touched the camera, they saw a masked man sexually assaulting a woman. You said the voice was Brueckner.

“Seyferth said a gun was also found and that after finding the video camera, they panicked, fled and later threw both items into the lake. Seyferth told investigators that the footage on the videotape was evil and that if found it would be vital in building a case against Brueckner. Another witness has now come forward to corroborate the story of the first two men and this has prompted the investigation to intensify,” a source told the Chron.

At the request of German authorities, the Portuguese police are conducting an operation at the Arade damabout 50 km from Praia da Luz, in the Algarve, where Maddie was last seen 16 years ago.

The place was frequently visited by Christian Brückner, and his house is near the dam.

The materials found at the site, mainly soil samples, would be taken to Germany for analysis. This is what investigators report to the British newspaper.

However, this is not the first time a search has been conducted on the site. In 2008, divers searched the dam for the body of Madeleine McCann. Only one sock was found.

case still unfinished

On May 3, 2007, the threeyearold girl went missing. in the Algarve, Portugal, during a family vacation.

On the night of the crime, her parents went to a nearby restaurant with friends for dinner, leaving their children sleeping in the hotel room. When they returned, Madeleine had disappeared without a trace.

The case was never solved. From 2007 to date, Madeleine has been “seen” around 9,000 times and in more than a hundred countries, including Italy, where she was mistaken for a homeless woman, but all the clues were false.

The suspect is under arrest for another crime. Christian Brückner was sentenced to seven years in prison for a rape case. The crime was committed in 2005 against an elderly woman in Praia da Luz, Portugal, where Madeleine disappeared. He also has a criminal record for drug dealing.
