Police have arrested six people in connection with a shocking “flash robbery” at a Los Angeles Nike store after the suspects were caught red-handed with burglary tools and $30,000 worth of stolen goods.
The thieves, whose identities have not been released, were arrested last week after their SUV was pulled over by Los Angeles Police Department officers, KTLA News reported.
During the search, officers found several bags full of stolen Nike sneakers.
The brazen robbery occurred around 5:30 p.m. on August 13 at the Nike store in East Los Angeles at 4585 Whitier Boulevard. Surveillance footage showed three people entering the store and exiting shortly after with garbage bags containing the stolen shoes.
That same day, in another incident, cops riding e-bikes arrested two other suspects at Americana at the Brand Mall in Glendale, the New York Post reported.

According to the news agency, the suspects in this arrest were Memory Yearby, 26, and Reality Leavens, 18, from Washington state.
Officials said both have been charged with theft and possession of burglary tools.
On August 8, another flash mob burglary occurred, this time at the Yves Saint Laurent, where a mob of at least 30 thugs broke into the store and stole up to $400,000 worth of merchandise.
The incident was caught on camera by scores of bystanders, shocking the Glendale community.
23-year-old Los Angeles resident Ivan Issac Ramirez was one of the suspects arrested by police. On Thursday he was charged with burglary, grand larceny, organized retail theft and conspiracy.
His alleged partner Brianna Jimenez, also from LA, has not yet been arrested and has a warrant out for her arrest.
Many retail stores throughout Los Angeles County were targeted by these flash mobs. Officials said the suspects will flood the stores, overpower the employees and security guards, and then grab as many items as possible before fleeing.
Many of those stores are high-end retailers whose thefts exceed $100,000, KTLA reported.
