British police arrest man after finding three dead on the streets of Nottingham

Police in Nottingham, central England, found three bodies in a street on Tuesday morning (13) and cordoned off part of the city centre.

In addition to the bodies, a man has been arrested for running over people and police are investigating whether there is a link between the two cases.

That’s what the police said found two bodies side by side in the middle of a street which allows access to the center and subsequently received a warning about a third body later. Authorities later received calls about people injured after being hit by a van.

The driver was then arrested and access to the streets in the city center was blocked.

“We believe these incidents are all linked and we have one man in custody. The investigation is at an early stage and a team of investigators is working to shed light on exactly what happened,” said local police chief Kate Meynell.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was being briefed on the situation and praised the work of emergency teams.

Townswoman Lynn Huggart reported seeing the pedestrians. According to her, the driver of the van was stopped and, seeing a police car, accelerated toward pedestrians. “A woman walked onto the curb, a man blew up, there was a bang, I wish I had never seen it, it really shook me,” Huggart said.
