Several teenagers forced a police operation at Cinéma 9 in Gatineau in Outaouais on Saturday evening.
At approximately 7 p.m., officers from the City of Gatineau Police Department were called to the scene regarding an altercation between two groups of minors.

Three teenagers were arrested at the cinema, one of them for possession of a firearm.
When searching the suspect, police also discovered a knife and a small amount of illegal cannabis. He received notices of violations at the municipal level regarding the maintenance of public peace and good order.
Although no one was injured, the event was stressful for those in attendance.

No threats were made against the people in the room, but according to two witnesses, the scene was quite frightening, especially because police allegedly yelled at them to get on the floor.
“There was someone who almost pulled out a gun […] Caution. You say: OK, no, something is wrong. When you watch a horror movie, the police arrive… It’s pretty stressful,” one viewer told TVA Nouvelles.
Since the arrested person was a minor, the police acted in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was taken back to his relative’s house.
