A kitten was rescued by police after being stranded on a bridge with a broken leg and found a loving home. A story reported by Daily Paws.
On the Huey P. Long Bridge, which spans the Mississippi River in the state of Louisiana, the kitten in question caught the attention of passers-by. Seeing the animal’s distress, they immediately called for help.
It was State Police officers Marvin and Himel who intervened. They had no trouble locating and rescuing the young tabby, who appeared injured and having trouble moving. She, forty meters above the river, was now out of danger.

His rescuers named him Huey after the bridge. They took her to a local animal hospital to be checked out. The kitten was found to have suffered a growth plate fracture in one of the hind legs, requiring the use of a cast to immobilize the limb and ensure healing.
Adopted by another cop
Officer Eric Alsup Junior, colleague of the two cops who rescued her, fell in love with Huey and decided to adopt her.
Her name is now Bridget and she is enjoying life to the fullest in her new home with a loving and caring family.
“Mrs. Bridget is a playful little cat and is adapting very well to her new family. Thank you for your support, feedback and prayers! ‘ we read on the Louisiana State Police Facebook page.
