The XVI Polisario Front Congress begins this Friday in Dakhla, Algeria, in the Western Sahara refugee zone.

During the preparations for the event, which is scheduled to last until January 17, the Secretary General of the Front and President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Ghali, gave assurances the meeting will be crucial for the future of his people.
