Pope recovers from lung infection news

Pope Francis is still recovering from a lung infection. The Vatican press office announced this today via its Telegram channel. The 86-year-old man no longer has a fever but continues to receive treatment, it was said.

In order not to compromise his recovery due to temperature fluctuations, the Pope will hold midday prayer tomorrow at his residence in Santa Marta. As happened last Sunday, the Angelus will be broadcast via videoconference.

According to Francisco, the switch between heating and air conditioning was also the reason why his doctors advised him not to participate in the world climate summit in Dubai. Francis was supposed to be the first pope to give a speech there today. Instead, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin read the speech.

The Pope, who turns 87 on December 17th, has been increasingly concerned about his health for some time now. He has already been treated at a clinic twice this year.
