Porridge: New bulletin highlights sedation withdrawal and stable status Splash

Bassist Mingau from Ultraje a Rigor shows improvements in his health. The new medical bulletin from Hospital São Luiz do Itaim in São Paulo highlights that the musician has been removed from sedation and is currently weaning himself from mechanical ventilators.

The information was released today in a new official bulletin from the medical team: The São Luiz do Itaim Hospital reports that the patient Rinaldo Amaral (“Mingau”) remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit. The sedation was removed and the process of “weaning” from mechanical ventilation began, but the patient continued without waking up. The clinical picture is currently considered stable.

Last Monday (11) the musician had a tracheostomy. It was his third surgical procedure. On the sixth day he was operated on again. “The decompressive craniectomy was recommended by the neurosurgeon in charge of the case, Manoel Jacobsen Teixeira, to control intracranial pressure and lasted approximately 2:30 hours,” the department said.
