The next super Porsche Taycan could have three engines instead of two.
The car will be easily recognizable, especially with its added aerodynamic appendages.
Right now, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S makes 750 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque.
The race for high-performance electrification continues in the upper niche of the electron-powered automobile. This time, automotive innovation is on the side of Porsche, the manufacturer currently working on a variant to rival the power monsters Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire, the other American sedan that comes with a 1,200 hp Powertrain from the company’s workshops. The other super sedan, the Tesla Model S Plaid, is powered by a horde of 1,020 horsepower.

At the time of writing, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S benefits from powertrains capable of 750 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque. So there’s a gap between the two American electric sedans and Porsche’s response, but the mere fact that a prototype was already seen at the famous Nürburgring last fall confirms that the engineers understood the rest of the story well and truly well prepared Taycan.
Earlier this week, the electric sedan prototype was spotted again on the roads of the old continent, very close to the Arctic Circle to be precise. The first clue to its exact identification is this large spoiler attached to the trunk of the car. But that’s not all, because apart from that “TDI” badge stuck on the bottom of the trunk, this Taycan differs from the others by having wider sills, a compliment that also applies to the car’s bumper, which is attached to the The base of the front bumper gets a wider spoiler.

As is currently circulating, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer has added a third electric motor to its electric performance car, a solution that the other two super sedans are already using. It is therefore not unreasonable to believe that the Taycan Turbo S will soon be overshadowed by this variant, whose name is currently unknown. And in the context where the other two electric sedans are equipped with mechanics of over 1,000 hp, this new, even sportier variant should basically crack the 1,000 hp mark.
Is the manufacturer advanced enough to unveil its new Super Taycan later this year? We’ll have to wait before finding out more about this future take on the brand’s electric model.
