Porsche has teased its upcoming Macan EV, which will be the German luxury carmaker’s second all-electric car under the Volkswagen Group when it launches in 2024. The teaser image was shown in an official sketch released as part of the automaker’s collaboration with Austrian shipyard Frauscher. Interestingly, the Austrian company is working on its all-electric 28.4-foot sports boat, which will use the same powertrain as the upcoming Porsche Macan EV.

The Porsche Macan EV will be the automaker’s second all-electric car and is slated for launch in 2024.
Test mules of the Porsche Macan EV have already been spotted several times. However, the new teaser image shows the upcoming electric car in a completely different light than the prototypes. It looks sleeker and is heavily influenced by the Porsche Taycan EV, the automaker’s first-ever electric car. The teaser image shows the new crossover from the side and from the looks of it the rear profile appears to be much more sloped than the previous combustion engine model and is similar to the rear profiles of the Panamera and Taycan. The rear lights are also similar to those of the Taycan EV. The Macan EV appears to feature the sleek red LED strip that runs the full width of the vehicle, a design element visible on the Taycan EV and many other modern vehicles.

The design sketch reveals nothing about the front profile or the interior of the upcoming Macan EV. However, expect the EV to feature sharp and sleek LED headlights and a Taycan-influenced front profile. Inside, you’ll find a wide range of advanced, technology-enabled features and a spacious and comfortable feel.
As for the specification of the Porsche Macan EV, this car will be based on the new PPE architecture, which is a dedicated EV platform and utilizes 800 volt technology. This EV platform can accommodate a 100kWh lithium-ion battery pack. However, the power and torque of the car and the range of the electric vehicle are still a mystery. Expect peak power of 603 hp and maximum torque of 1,000 Nm.
