Friends of the LusoGuinean actor and director Welket Bunguê, 35, found out about the whereabouts of the artist, who has been missing since Friday evening, on social media. He is said to have been last seen in the Pedra do Sal region of the Rio port area. On his social network account, Bunguê published photos he took during a visit to the Museum of AfroBrazilian History and Culture (MUHCAB) in the Gamboa district. Shortly before 9 p.m. this Saturday, photographer Kristin Bethge published on her social network that the actor had been found, but gave no information about what happened: “We found Welket, thanks everyone,” he wrote.

Welket Bunguê was born in GuineaBissau and has Portuguese nationality. In 2018 he played João in the Brazilian film Joaquim by director Marcelo Gomes and in 2020 he was the protagonist of the GermanDutch film Berlin Alexanderplatz by German director Burhan Qurbani. Most recently, the actor was part of the cast of David Cronenberg’s 2022 film Crimes of the Future.
