Gatineau police called for anyone Friday evening to find a vehicle linked to a possible kidnapping that occurred late this afternoon.
At approximately 4:10 p.m., a vehicle containing four suspects pulled up next to a person walking on Gauthier Street.
“Information collection on the scene as well as the investigation led police to fear that a person, probably an adult (depending on size), had actually been abducted while walking south on Gauthier Street,” the city said Gatineau Police Service (SPVG).
However, at the beginning of the evening, police had very few details about this incident.
The public is asked to call 911 to alert investigators if they spot the suspect vehicle, a red four-door Nissan Altima or Sentra from the 2013 to 2019 model years.
Among other things, the vehicle has tinted rear windows, appears to be equipped with winter tires and is “probably” registered in Quebec.
For his part, the victim has white skin, smokes cigarettes and was wearing a black hooded coat with fur, black pants and shoes.
Summary descriptions of the suspects were also provided.
In addition to searching for the vehicle, the public in the area surrounding the abduction site is encouraged to take a look at their surveillance cameras and look for items that could help investigators trace the crime and find the suspects and their victim.
Anyone with information can call 911 or the SPVG INFO line at 819 243-4636, option 5.
Descriptions of the four suspects:
● Suspect 1: The driver is believed to be a white-skinned male wearing a black coat with a white logo on the left side of the chest and another logo behind the right shoulder. He was wearing a gray and white hoodie and black pants.
● Suspect 2: Caucasian male wearing a black T-shirt and pants and black shoes. He would wear teal or turquoise underwear.
● Suspect 3: Reported to be a Caucasian male wearing a red hoodie, jeans and dark shoes.
