Power supply in Ukraine largely restored

In Ukraine, problems with power supply after Russian rocket attacks have largely been resolved. “Most electricity customers are connected to the grid again in several regions,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video message today. Repair teams from electricity providers and civil defense worked all night.

Deputy head of the presidential office Kyrylo Tymoshenko wrote in Telegram that there were still problems with power supply to several thousand homes in the western Ukrainian regions of Volhynia, Zhytomyr, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi. Power supply has also not been fully restored in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions of northeastern Ukraine.

Network operator Ukrenerho also warned of unscheduled and planned power cuts. Already in October, after the Russian attacks on the power grid, electricity was regularly turned off, especially in central Ukraine and the capital Kyiv.
