The Charlevoix region could get 20 to 40 centimeters of snow, in places even 60. For Quebec and the surrounding area it will be closer to 10 to 20 centimeters, sometimes 30. Winds could blow up to 110 kilometers per hour.
In heavy snowfall and blowing snow, visibility is temporarily reduced to almost zero.
transport
Given the weather conditions, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité Durable (MTQ) expects difficult road conditions in several regions of Quebec and calls for caution. Drivers should avoid unnecessary trips.
We know it’s holiday season, people often come to families to celebrate, but of course caution is warranted with what’s coming, says MTQ spokesman Nicolas Vigneault.
