The SEC Tournament is finally here, and this year it seems to be as open as ever. With Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas finishing within two games at the top of the league standings, it’s going to be hard to pick a favorite out of the four – they’re all also looking to get good seeds in the upcoming NCAA tournament. .
This year, the tournament will move from its usual location in Nashville to Tampa, Florida, ending on Wednesday night. However, the top four seeds will not be active until Friday. Outside of that four, the biggest intrigue is probably the NCAA Tournament hopes for Florida, Texas A&M and South Carolina. All three don’t seem to be working right now – the Aggies and Gamecocks probably aren’t close to the cut line either – but the deep rides in Tampa might get their attention.
Meanwhile, LSU and Alabama have the talent to beat anyone in the league. Lower seeds such as Mississippi State and Vanderbilt have shown flashes of good basketball from time to time. This brace can become sharp.
