Pregnant Rihanna nods to André Leon Talley in iconic red coat during Super Bowl show

Pregnant Rihanna seemed to nod to one of fashion’s biggest stars during her rousing Super Bowl halftime show.

The 34-year-old Umbrella singer, who revealed she is expecting her second child after surprising fans with a baby bump as she took the stage, wore a red coat that resembled the late André Leon Talley’s iconic Norma Kamali blanket coat .

When she began levitating on a clear platform at some point during her show, Rihanna swapped out her cropped Alaïa coat for the brand’s longer down jacket.

And while her coat wasn’t the same one Talley wore, many fans considered it a tribute to the fashion journalist, and Talley’s official Instagram account also paid tribute to the tribute.

‘When the sun shines, we will shine together. I told you I’ll be here forever… said I’ll always be your friend,” the account posted, along with a photo of Talley in the jacket, followed by the singer during the show.
