Preliminary IML Report Indicates Taylor Swift Fan Suffered Lung Bleeding

A preliminary report from the IML showed that Ana Clara Benevides, 23, who died after feeling unwell at singer Taylor Swift’s concert on Friday the 17th, had minor bleeding in her lungs.

The information was confirmed to CNN by Delegate Juliana Almeida of the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police, which continues to investigate the case.

Speaking to the broadcaster, the delegate said that several factors could lead to the illness, such as heat, sunstroke and dehydration, but considered it necessary to wait for confirmation of test results. Results of further testing are expected to be released within 30 days.

The young woman fell ill during the first show of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Brazil, which took place at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. According to the Rio Municipal Health Department (SMS), Ana Clara died after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The body of the young woman was buried on Monday the 20th in the municipal chamber of Sonora, in the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul, and on the morning of Tuesday the 21st the funeral procession sets off for the town of Pedro Gomes, the hometown of the young woman fan of Taylor Swift, where she will be buried at 9 a.m.
