“We are preparing for a single army. Everyone knows that. We didn’t hide it. It’s impossible to hide it in the modern world.” This was said by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at his meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, BelTa agency reported.
“I think the Belarusian Defense Minister has already told you about the situation in Belarus, about training, combat coordination of the units of Belarus and Russia present in Belarus. I must say that we seriously dealt with it. Both the Belarusians and the Russians are being trained … so that our first ranks – the defenders of the Union State – can repel any aggression if necessary,” Lukashenko said. The Belarusian leader also stated that Minsk is ready to fulfill its obligations under existing agreements with the Russian Federation. “With in a word, whatever the Belarusians need to do within the framework of an open and genuine agreement, we will do it, there is no question about that,” he said.
